Groups

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.   Romans 12: 4-6

If you are not currently involved with a crafting group, then start your own.  It’s so nice to have fellowship with Christians while doing something that you love, that will help lift others up.  We often joke that we are waiting for the “church lady’ to come rushing into the room saying we can’t be doing God’s work because we are having too much fun.

We have found that what one dislikes doing, another loves to do.  It’s also nice to have someone older than you that is not family to help you through some rough patches.  They can show you the light at the end of the tunnel because they were where you are now, and they survived, with God’s help and grace.

It’s also great to help younger women with their children whom we invite to our meetings.  I can be telling or teach a friend’s daughter the same thing she has, but they’ll hear it as if a first time with someone other than Mom.  I think we sound like the teacher in the old Charlie Brown comic strips to our children.  They hear the first two words and the rest turns into blah, blah, blah.
