Meetings

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.  Hebrews 6:10-11

Life is not just a journey, but who you take with you, and what you do along the way.  We started out first meeting at our homes and then into the church as more joined.  Some of us were strangers and some did not even attend church.  Since women are caregivers, some started bringing children and their elderly charges.  There is something about creativity and colors that fascinate all ages even though they may not have to same interest in the crafting, but just like watching and hanging out together.

For some meeting once a month is fine, while other may want to meet twice a month or weekly.  Some like meeting during the day or evening.

We meet from 7 to 9pm on the second and fourth Thursday of the month for quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting.  A smaller group meet on the first and third Thursday at one home to do bible study.

Each meeting starts out with prayer and closes in prayer.  Most updates are done with email, but we do use the first 5 minutes or less for announcements.  The non church goers use to come later and leave early to avoid prayer.  When they saw that we valued them and their friendship with no judgement, they started checking out the bible study and then went to church.  They now pray with us.
